For those wishing to get into the sport of clay target shooting, we have an entry programme to get you out there shooting safely and with confidence.
We provide a 4 step come and try a program that will show you how to handle a shotgun safely, teach you the rules and etiquette of shooting in a squad with other shooters and teach you the basic technique of hitting a flying target.
You will be provided with a mentor, shotgun, ammunition, hearing protection, eye protection, insurance, and targets.
There are 4 come and try sessions; the 1st is an introduction to shooting, 2nd and 3rd sessions are with a coach who will teach you how to shoot, including all safety requirements. The 4th session will see you go out with a squad and shoot with other shooters.
The cost is $60.00 per session plus ammunition to be purchased on the day, and all 4 sessions must be completed before you can become a member.
The WAGC can assist new members with support documentation for the WA police firearms licensing process.
